Online fabric shopping is such a great way to discover new prints, styles and textures. While I know some people are strictly offline-only as they prefer to feel and see their fabrics, buying fabric in the UK online does open up so many more doors. Here’s my list of where to buy fabric in the UK online, in no particular order.

eBay Shops

The Textile Centre – good for prints, especially viscose for dressmaking.

Regency Rag Fabric Store – a really good all-rounder. I get my cheap polycotton for toiles here!

Pink Scissor Fabrics – a lot of kawaii japanese prints and minimalist print jersey

Budget retailers

MyFabrics – a huge range of fabrics and trims here. Everything ships from Germany but postage is reasonable.

Fabricland Рtheir bright site might be gone, but this shop has a great selection of fabrics including utility fabrics.

Calico Laine – they’re not really as “budget” as the others but also not high-end. They sell a really great range of solids plus a fews prints.

Tia Knight – best for jersey, stretch and powermesh including some dance lycra.

Fabworks Рa really broad range of fabrics at excellent prices. £3-4 p/m is most common.

Plush Addict – again, not strictly budget. But their range is great and their prices competitive.

Specialist and Luxury

Truro Fabrics – sell a lovely range of wools, cottons, designer, high-end and bridal fabrics.

Stone Fabrics – a never ending list of gorgeous fabric you’ll be desperate for! Ring to order for most.

Croftmill – a lovely selection with the best names and descriptions ever! They always seem to have something exciting.
